In the warm, Mediterranean Greece, working with clay is a lot different than our previous experience. The material dries faster and the sun goes down earlier.

During our stay at a painter's house in the wonderful, inspiring countryside of Peloponnese, we got the opportunity to try pit firing. In a lovely, creative commune, without much equipment and only with few kilos of clay we focused on hand building.

The local conditions made our working method more spontaneous and ourselves more curious about the firing process and natural glazing techniques.
