Material: Bamboo
The OO coffee table was designed in 2D, focusing on reducing the waste of the sheet material by eliminating the negative space between the parts.
A hammer is cut out from the same sheet, and that is the only tool needed for the assembly.
There is no need for glue, screws or nails.
Additional objects such as soap dish, and small clock were designed that can be made from the offcuts, further minimizing the production waste.
The construction of the furniture was inspired by Japanese joinery.
It allows easy assembling, and gives additional value, like the easier recycling of mono material furniture, durability, and simple, calming shapes.
